How does one select optimized versions of the same file to play?

I have a TV show that comes in 10-bit color depth (HDR) but my TV doesn’t support HDR. There is an issue with playback on a Xiaomi Mi Box where audio works fine but video is all green/purple static. I optimized the show to Original Quality yet the app still plays back the original files instead.

How am I supposed to select the optimized versions for playback?

If you have more then one copy of the same show it should show an option on the play select. it will have … in the bottom right corner that will allow you to select which file. I commonly get this when I record a show and then transcode it. I have two copies and Plex knows of both.

what platform? On the Roku, the “Start Over” play gives you the option to select a version.

What playback interface are you referring to that has that? I haven’t seen anything like that on Web, Android TV or Plex Media Player.

I mean… It sounds like exactly what I am looking for - any blog posts or help pages that go over it?

Edit: Found the triple dot Play Version... prompt in Web. I’ll have to check more thoroughly on PMP and Android TV for the same. Can anyone confirm either/both of those?

Honestly can’t say as I don’t have an Android TV, my Samsung TV has the same Play Version as the Roku and PMP

The option is there on the preplay screen, hidden under another button… Can’t look right now, I think the button is named settings, or other.
