I honestly just don’t know some of the answers to these questions. I am new to LiveTV/DVR. I have it setup and I can see my live channels in the Plex Web Interface. However when I go to my Plex Client (FireTV) I can’t see these. I do see a bunch of what appears to be web based tv channels. But none of my local broadcast one. Just to be clear all the the local broadcast channels show up on the web client and DVR works fine. Just missing when I open the Plex Client on FireTV. I don’t even know where to start looking for the possible issue. Any advise would be appricated.

Perhaps try signing out of Plex on the FireTV and signing back in?

I don’t have a Fire TV stick, but I do have an idea for what you should check. It sounds like you may be looking at “Live TV” on your Fire stick, which is the Plex delivered streaming channels. To use your tuner, make sure you are looking at “Live TV & DVR”. You may have to go to “more” to find “Live TV & DVR”. IMHO these are named too similarly and often cause confusion!

what hokierulz said.

On the left, scroll down to More… and find the server on which your DVR is set up. That will show everything it has to offer, including Live TV & DVR. Choose that.

You may also choose to pin that to your Home list of items. That’s what’s confusing. It’s not pinned by default.

If you choose to use the DVR, you will have to define for the DVR a directory for recorded TV. Then you will set up your recordings, which will automatically go into that directory. In Plex, under that same More… area, that’s called Recorded TV. Again, it’s under your server specifically, but is not automatically pinned to your Home list. You’ll need to do that yourself.

Do you know how to pin things to your Home list?
