I agree the naming isn’t perfect, but its not terrible either, I have far worse naming elsewhere without any problem. I tested the perfect naming convention now and it still matches the extras folder Plex Media Server Logs_2021-04-29_19-27-31.zip (6.4 MB) .
The problem i’m trying to bring to light is the fact that plex says on their wiki page that if the extras folder contains the word extras its suppose to ignore it, which it does not.
Plex will automatically ignore and exclude certain content:
Sub-folders that include the words `extras` , `samples` , `bonus` , or `bonus disc`
The extras folder, has a common naming “EXTRA.CUTAWAYS.EXTRAS.CAST”. They try to hit many key-words, including extras, which plex still matches into season 1, even when the rest of the folders are named correctly.
This might be way out there, but I’m thinking this has to do with the trouble plex seem to have with ignoring folders with the new plex agent, which I pointed out here .plexignore stops working after agent "upgrade" (Plex Tv Series)
I’m guessing it uses the same mechanism to ignore folders, and if its not working then i guess extras folders does not get ignored as supposed to.
