In my experience, there is also a huge difference in scan time between the old and the new agents/scanners. Particularly, if your media is hosted in the cloud. Once I switched, my overall scan time went from more than two hours down to just five minutes.

I think you got it wrong. Folks like dokuro and tom are always here to help. Anyway, just to give you an idea of a big TV library that scans in under a minute: 241TB, 12,776 folders, 131,101 files. All in the cloud. You never told us if you’re on the new or the old scanner.
