New ui - multiple libraries - difficult for kids/grandparents

Hey guys. Not loving the new ui. I have a tonne of libraries sorted out that accessing before was a breeze, now it feels clunky and unprofessional.

Secondary to this, I have a small child that was able to navigate and select her shows on the xbox with ease. She knew that her 2 libraries were at the top and not to go below. Each time I opened the app it would default to her libraries meaning that she would not get a face full of adult shows. Up down and select were easy for her as everything was in the same place. This moving ui banner bar is definitely making our life difficult right now.

Unfortunately the whole ‘tablet based’ website/ui/design that most designers seem to favour lately is God awful it’s not clean and it’s not user friendly. Can you please give us a choice to use the old ui in an update or skin the existing somehow?

In the meantime the xbox is being disconnected and put in the cupboard and god forbid, I’m gonna pull the ps4 out again and hope you haven’t butchered that one.

Something I’ll add that may help you. If you aren’t already using managed users give this a try. You should be able to setup your child with their own account. This will allow you to select them as the user when you start the Plex app.

You as the Admin of your system can then share only the libraries that you want your child to see. So for example you could refrain from sharing your “adult” movies, tv series and only share the kids movies and tv shows with him/her.

When going into Plex as your child you will select the proper movie library which will become the default. Do the same for each type such as Shows. Once you do this they are the DEFAULT libraries you child will see when ever they go into Plex on the Xbox.

The key to making life easy for you child is to set them up with their own managed account. Once you do this your child should be much happier and be able to get to his/her content faster.
