this update finally fixed my problem of the server dropping connection and giving me an error on the Xbox 360. Two thumbs up on this update for fixing all the issues at least that I had with the app initially
Not to mention how excited I was as the update was happening too. I even said out loud I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS. haha oh if only I knew it'd be a night without Plex. Anyways I suppose that's enough complaining for now.
Nice to see channels.. I noticed it says this:
"Currently, the Plex for Xbox 360 app is limited in the source websites that are supported for Channels"
Can somebody confirm if the Unsupported App Store is working? I need it for Spotify.
But what about unofficial channel support (normally available via the UAS)? If I already have it installed on my server will it still work?
I normally have to switch over to my Chromecast (connected to Xbox One via HDMI-in) and use the Plex iOS app to 'cast' the Spotify2 plugin to it (which is a bit of a pain) so this is the main reason I've been waiting for channels on the Xbox app.
So they added music, but no shuffle? Or am I just missing something obvious? Unfortunately this is how I listen to my music (hit shuffle and let it play), so the fact its missing makes it somewhat pointless. Hopefully that will at least make it into the Xbox One client.

From the release notes:
The Plex for Xbox 360 has basic playlist support for both music and video playlists. There are currently some limitations associated with the playlist support.
General Limitations
Shuffling
Shuffling is supported during playback of music playlists. After initiating playback, you can toggle theShuffle button to randomize the order in which you progress through the playlist contents.
It is not currently possible to shuffle video playlists.
Any word on whether this update brings kinect voice commands outside of the US? I need to update my server to get it working, but that's not a small task.

What platform is your server? It's literally two clicks on mine.

It's linux-based, but each upgrade seems to fail to kill a listener, so it refuses to restart without a full reboot, and it's also our router for the whole house. It's not especially taxing, just something that needs the right moment.
Linux based systems don't currently support auto update. What distro are you using? On ubuntu I wget the file and use dpkg -i to install it. Doesn't even take a minute.

I also use ubuntu, but, as I said, it never seems to close properly, requiring a full shutdown and reboot of the machine, which is fairly central to my network. I know how to do it, but it's not something I can do when the gf is in the middle of a game.
Sat down with my family to watch a movie and got hit with the update .. had to update my FreeNAS box before I could get back to sitting down and watching said movie, but all is good now. I'm happy with the update. ;)
