The Xbox One just got the new windows 10 update. I’m wondering if there are plans to update the Plex app on xbox one to the universal windows 10 app that is on windows 10 and windows 10 mobile? Currently the xbox one app does not give access to my video channels (CBS, HGTV, etc). I’d love to have that feature on xbox one, like I do on the phone and tablet. Thanks.
We’re working on getting channel support in a future release. In general we’re aiming for feature parity across our clients, windows universal or otherwise.
The XB1 does not yet support universal apps, but we’re aware that this is the eventual plan - but have no firm plans either way ourselves yet. Sorry!
With the new update has the status for 24p changed?
Also is it able to possibly directplay more formats? Specifically when I playback Greek subtitles it will transcode for some movies while if I have them off it will directplay.

3rd party apps are not allowed to change the display mode of the Xbox One, so there isn’t a change in the way 24p is handled.

There have not been any additional formats added. The developers have stated that they would indeed like to use soft encoding for subtitles as it improves the overall experience, but have not released a time line or status for that feature.

Plex said they were in contact with Microsoft about 24p and since now platform is Windows 10 maybe Microsoft is more open.
In the other hand we are still waiting information from Microsoft on how anyone can turn his Xbox one to a developer console and issue an sdk for everyone
@jmckee is correct. We still have no access to 24p playback, I’m afraid! Will keep our eyes out for it though.
This is a very annoying limitation on the Xbox’s part, I would suggest people vote for it on the Xbox Feedback website http://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/251646-apps/suggestions/6536557-plex-app-24p-support-and-dts-audio
