Could be true @ AC3 vs. DTS
I didn´t check the codec infos, but I have the stuttering basically on all TV shows, but movies start without a problem.

I’m unsure that AC3 vs DTS would be an issue, since DTS would be transcoded to AC3 due to the Xbox Ones lack of support. Could be something there, but I would have to doubt it.
I would check bitrates of the videos, I personally still haven’t seen any stuttering.
Well when DTS is transcoded I believe we don´t have the MKV container anymore.
(Though I might be wrong)
Devs/Mods/Ninjas ?

On a Remux/Transcode the container should be going to mpegts
Its a known issues with the Preview Dashboard. If you report a problem through the Power off menu, its one of the pinned issues.

You have a fair point sir, conceded. ![]()
Still not an audio issue though, still an mkv issue as the known issues state.
I also have a shameless request for an invite into the Xbox One preview program if someone would be kind enough to indulge me? Gamertag: Shiny Chocolate
Add me to the fray. Was just forced the NXOE yesterday and now pretty much all of my videos are unplayable. I turned off direct play but we shouldn’t have to. I hope there is a fix soon.
When you wait 5-10 seconds and then hit the left D-pad, the videos should play fine.

first off, nobody is forced into the NXOE. You have to opt into it. This is what happens when you are testing really alpha software. This issue isn’t on the Plex end, it’s on the XB1 end.
They “forced” NXOE to all preview members 1-2 days ago.
You would have to opt out completely from the programme not to receive it.
(But to be fair: They sent out E-Mails to “warn” people beforehand)

I got the email and thought I was opted out… but I was apparently wrong.

What does this do?
Pressing left on the D-pad jumps back 15 seconds in the video and MKV videos seem to play fine after doing this.
(But we might be talking about more than one bug here, I think it´s a big confusing by now)
Had the video stutter on my mkv files. Pressing the d pad fix the issue for me.
Thanks,
The dashboard officially launches on November 12th !
(And Plex is still stuttering in todays update)
I’m running a i7 laptop with a high rate network to my xbox one and during a 1 hour show - it stuttered 3 - 4 times. I haven’t tried the D-pad skip yet… but I’ve restarted the xbox (held the button 10 seconds) and then even pull the plug and restarted it… same with restarting the computer. Still happens.
Seems like this is a new issue with NXEO (New Xbox One Experience) as I’m part of the preview program so this has been an issue for a while now.
Is there any official fix coming out for all “new” dashboard owners except for the d-pad one?
I have noticed that when playing mkv files with 720/1080 video & 5.1 audio, the Xbone seems to have issues getting started and there is a lot of stuttering. What I have done is: start playing video, fast forward a couple seconds, rewind to 1 second on the time code.
Playing mp4 videos doesn’t have the same stuttering issues.
NXOE user here (love it by the way). Same issues with stuttering MKV’S, I figured out the workaround immediately, doesn’t really bother me, but it works in the interim (d-pad rewind trick)
