All the available channels are picked up from the device settings and my wanted channels are ticked.
(Note using ‘New Zealand > National’ channel data).
After the EPG data is scanned many of the channels cannot be found in the program guide.
Some screenshots below.
I believe Plex is working on this kind of issue but I would just like to report NZ too.
Same problem in Australia. Plex are apparently chasing GraceNote and possibly other sources for this EPG data. Gracenote seems to have numerous missing channels in many countries and regions, also varying EPG data quality issues as well. While this is an industry and occasionally a country/region problem. Many other broadcast TV products seem to have more complete and quality solutions to EPG channels and data. Im sure Plex is working hard on this.
I installed the DVR beta 3 last night in Wellington. My choice for an EPG provider was none or Vodafone???
And when managing channels, the only channel choices were ‘Select channel’ or ‘0 Hope Channel (Hope Channel)’. However, I think it got information form the DVB-T stream because the correct shows are appearing but only for the next 7 days.
Not sure what GraceNote has but this is frustrating. Still, its a Beta and I’m sure it will be better in full release.

HouliNZ - Select New Zealand as your region. Im in Wellington also.
More missing channels due to 3Life starting and swapping channel numbers with EdgeTV.
Gracenote have crap EPG data - my partner wants me to record the royal wedding - but guess what - its NOT LISTED!!
come on plex - get your act together - it doesnt matter how good your DVR is if you supply crap EPG data.
