Hello Everyone.
I’m not the most technical of people and have sort of “googled” around for an answer.
It’s probably straight forward but when I open plex http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html, I see Plex with my library but I don’t see live tv.
The only way I can get live tv to show is by going to the page https://www.plex.tv/en-gb/watch-free-tv/and when I click on Get Live TV, Plex
will open https://app.plex.tv/desktop#!/media/tv.plex.provider.epg/guide?source=home and the Live TV Guide appears along with the library.
I was hoping to get plex sorted with both my library and live TV so that I could watch it all on the downstairs 55" Samsung 2020 series.
Live TV is not an option that appears.
What am I doing wrong and how do I correct it please?
Cheers Guys.
Daz
The version of Plex Web bundled with your local server installation is a bit older than the hosted/online version (http://app.plex.tv/desktop).
As of today, the version bundled with the latest beta version of Plex Web is 4.34 while the hosted version is 4.40).
The live-tv streaming requires Plex Web 4.38 or newer – therefore the feature is not showing on your local server.

That live TV option is only available through the web GUI at plex.tv and on certain clients.
Eventually they will update the server so you can get live TV by going to 127.0.0.1 but that isn’t an option yet.
As far as your Samsung it is not a supported client yet so you will not see that on that tv. Tbh the channels available are pretty much the same channels you can find on the Samsung TV plus app so you aren’t missing out on much.
Thanks guys for your replies and so quickly!
The live tv is something that I’m watching with interest. The Samsung TV Plus channels are ok and would be a nice edition to have included on Plex.
I’ll keep an eye out for future updates.
Cheers.
