Newbie Questions

Hi, first of all, I want to apologize because of my english. I have a few questions regardin to plex and the apple tv 3.

Everything works perfect so far, I've seen a few things about the channels, but I want to know if what I want is possible:

Is there anyway I can put subtitles on channels videos?, like for a movie or for South Park?, how can I do this?, in case I can't, is there any channel that offers subtitles?, in english or spanish.

Is there anyway I can save the progress of a video in a channel? (not the library)

How can I search for movies-series on channels?, is there anyway?, it shows me an error.

Besides movies plugins and channels, is there anyway I can get a browser on my apple tv?

Thank you for your answers!

pleaase, help me!

aTV 3 has no Web-Browser that is available natively. You can use this but I haven't personally:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id889120353 (Note you need a separate iOS device to make this all work) The silver remote or a learned remote cannot control the browser.

Also you could airplay mirror a mac or iOS device or use the airparrot app/program to your aTV also. Keep in mind the aTV is a client streaming device not a mac mini or full fledged HTPC so don't expect magic out of a $100 aTV. PlexConnnect is the best thing the aTV has to offer in my opinion and you have to run a PlexConnect host on a separate device for the aTV3 to work.

aTV2 you can jailbreak and install couch surfer as a web-browser but I don't use it much and when I did I didn't expect or receive anything special. You can also install PlexConnect directly upon a jailbroken aTV2 which eliminates the other PlexConnect host which makes it portable (vacations) and an all in one solution to use only one device hooked to a tv/monitor but only outputs @ 720p.

There is a alternative app store in my signature called UAS that has channels that you can search for various content.

I don't believe there is a progress bar for channels or a way to save the progress so you can't resume but you should be able to fast forward (I think).

Subtitles are available if your content has subtitles or if you encode them on PMS when ripping your content. I would assume some channels have subtitles and different languages but I don't know any of the top of my head since I personally don't require any language but english.
