Server Version#:the newest version
I’ve had this problem for months now. ever since I updated the server. I’ve managed to use older version 1.13.9.5456 Plex server. I was hoping that when I updated to Catalina I could get the newest version but it is still not working. When I start version 1.18.xxx it seems to try to start up and the small plex icon appears at the top bar and when i click it it shows as starting up but then disappears. I’ve been a plex user almost from the beginning so i’m not a new user. As I said I can use version 1.13.xx. If i need to show any logs, please tell me how to get them.
Got it finally solved. Got myself the mackeeper uninstalled both versions of plex server searched for all files “plex” in finder and deleted them all (maybe around 20-30 files) and reinstalled the newest plex server. Had to add all folders and rescan. Bummer but starting with a clean slate.
