Player Version: Recent Tizen Plex Client on Samsung 65’ KS8000
I installed 1.16.4.1469 on my Synology NAS DS1019 a few hours ago. Every single movie or tv show was skipping forward on direct play. So I restarted the tv, I restarted the Synology NAS. I switched off every other network device. After a few minutes it started skipping forward. First a short “Buffering” message and then the movies skipped forward a few seconds. The whole setup is wired and I deactivated all transcoding.
This occurred on every single piece of media. Low quality mkvs and high quality 4k 7.1 h265 mkv files alike. At the last resort I uninstalled plex server (after several restarts of the nas) and installed PlexMediaServer-1.16.3.1433-359b06978-x86_64.spk. Everything is fine now. All videos played perfectly.
Am I the only one with this experience?

And for everyone who is searching for the previous server install spk for Synology: https://downloads.plex.tv/plex-media-server-new/1.16.3.1433-359b06978/synology/PlexMediaServer-1.16.3.1433-359b06978-x86_64.spk Here it is. This fixes the problem. Just uninstall and reinstall the plex app. All settings will still be there after uninstallation.
