I currently have Continue Watching to have a limit of 25 items. But even with significantly less items in there, new items push out old ones when a new episode comes out instead of just adding to the list. So lets say i have 5 shows currently in continue watching. Then when a new episode of a 6th show comes out, instead of now having 6 items in continue watching, it removes one so the total is still 5. Only way to show all the items is to close the plex player and when i reopen, then it will show all 6 items. Only happens on the windows player, if i use my android, ipad or shield, the continue watching works correctly.
To add to this, I have the same problem, except the quantity varies, sometimes there’s 3, sometimes 2, sometimes only 1.
In every case, it is not related to continue watching settings, as I watch things, I then see a different item that should be shown on the list. There’s clearly some sort of weird artificial limit being added where it’s not showing the full quantity of valid items.
I just checked the windows, web and android. Android works fine, but windows and web seem to both have the issue. Bizarre.
Same issue here basically. If i check the tv shows tab, i see 20 odd continue watching entries, but when i click home i see 3 or 5.
If i then reorder the tabs, i can get them all to show on the home screen, but only for a few mins then they all disappear from home again and im left with only 3 again. Only on windows for me, android is working as expected. How do we ask plex to fix this? driving me bonkers
This is a good diagnosis, it does seem to work on the individual categories, but breaking on the Home tab.
Hopefully this can provide insight for Plex to fix it.
I know its not the highest priority bug but its also not a complicated one. Please fix. If my explanation of the issue isn’t good enough i can screen record it happening or something. This has been driving me nuts for 6 months now.
