I had Plex running on a Mac Mini but ran in to issues with the ‘recently added’ section as it started showing really old movies on top of recently added items. As I was about to move Plex Server to a NUC I didn’t put a lot of effort in to it then to locate the issue. Now with the move to the NUC al went fine for 2 months till about 2 weeks ago, old items started again popping up in the “recently added” section. Literally the 15 oldest movies I have in my library. I checked the files on the server (Synology) but nothing strange there (file stamp is around 2011). Anyone with similar experiences and / or a possible solution?
Settings - Server - Library - Empty trash automatically after every scan <-- UNcheck
Then keep an eye out if the problem continues.
This checkbox should never be ticked when file storage is on a different system than the Plex server.
Thanks that box is indeed checked by default. I will give this a try for a couple of weeks!
This has been happening to me as well (Started in 0.9.17). I posted in the Server section.
The “Uncheck” suggestion does not work unfortunately. Since a week or so I again see really old stuff as recently added.
