I’ve noticed a big drop in quality of movie poster metadata I’m getting back after my scans for the last few days. Movies that I’ve scanned in the past that I know have come back with a good selection of posters are now coming back with almost nothing but foreign language posters or posters covered with text. I’ve tried searching the movies in multiple agents, but no real change. I know the metadata is something Plex just pulls down and doesn’t have any real control over so it’s very likely to be an issue with the metadata sources, but I was just curious if anyone has noticed anything similar in the past few days?
Server/Settings/Agents
Click the ‘Gear’ beside Plex Movie and The Movie Database - enable ‘prefer artwork based on library language’ - and be sure the library is set to the desired language.
Other language posters may still come in, but the library language should be the ones selected, at least.
Yeah, that’s definitely set as my library language, good thought. I’ve had everything setup in my agent settings for a long while now, that’s why I was curious if others were seeing similar issues.
Well, maybe the main, account (yours) library language setting, has strayed from the herd. Language settings are per account - not per server or Agent setting and if Plex doesn’t know what all the languages are and which ones are preferred - it can’t do anything right.
