My wife is constantly asking me when her favourite shows are coming back on. Unfortunately, I have to go online, or look at my TV Shows App to find out.
in my TV Shows App downloader on my Mac, the software queries thetvdb.com to get the next air date of the show.
It would be nice, in Plex, if a metadata agent could poll thetvdb.com and prefix the show description with Next Air Date: DD/MM/YYYY, has anyone ever played with this?
There are a few solutions for this on XBMC, but unfortunately not available in Plex currently. TV Next Aired for example... another option you may want to look at is Mikedm139's fantastic Sickbeard plugin, available in the Unsupported app store. Even if you do not use SB to actually download anything (it's intended purpose), it will keep a running list of all your shows along with tons of data, such as air dates. Accessing the upcoming area of the SB plug-in will then give you a tidy list of upcoming shows and when they air.
