Tracking of upcoming episode airdates

I’ve recently switched from XBMC and one of the biggest things that I miss is the TV Show Next Aired script that exists for XBMC. Using it, you could pull up a calendar/agenda for the upcoming week that would show a TV guide-like screen with the episodes that were airing that week for the shows that existed in your library. Most skins also had built in support that would show the next episode air date on the show list along with the show plot/etc. Please see here for the XBMC script:

Yes, I was using Sickbeard with the Sickbeard application for Plex that would allow you to see Sickbeard's upcoming shows within Plex. Not quite the same as the TV Show Next Aired script for XBMC, but was similar. However, I've recently switched from Sickbeard to NzbDrone and can no longer use that.

I also really liked being able to see the series status and next episode air date in the info part of series when scrolling through the list of shows. I definitely think this should be added!  It sounds to me like a low hanging fruit update.  I find myself constantly checking the web for when the next episode airs when it should really be in Plex.

I personally wouldn't find this useful, I use tvRage -> Google Calendar -> Android Phone to keep track of Air Dates.

However, this type of feature would be another good reason to give plugins more inline access to the rest of plex. You could get a plugin to add a link to the release schedule or the next air date while inside the season level screen.

I use trakt they have a calendar you can view on the web that will give you air dates of all the shows you are watching and there is a plex plugin that will sync your watches with the website so it knows what you are watching.  Not quite integrated into plex, but I find it handy.
