Adding TV Show to Plex Server that are Coming Soon

I was wondering is there is a way to add upcoming TV Shows to Plex Server to show people that you have up and coming TV Shows?

Example, I was advised that there were a couple of TV Shows starting in Sept 2019 that people would like to watch, there is data/trailers about these shows and I would like to add them to my Plex and advise my family/relatives that I will be getting these TV Show.

When I add TV Shows to my server I add them into there Own Folder with the air dates of when they will be first aired on TV, I was hoping that plex would bring up the info with the trailer regarding that specific show, but it did not.

Is there away or can there be an update with this option?

No idea. Plex doesn’t announce new features in advance for the most part.

I have a library specifically for upcoming stuff. I d/l the trailer and use that as the place holder. And of course if you hit play. the trailer plays.

Is this basically a general videos library (and not a TV library) then?

Yeah, for the most part… I have skewed away from it though in favor of Sonarr/Radarr but for you and what you want to use it for and now that plex implemented notifications it would be great.

Nope it’s a full fledged TV Show library. That way I get all the bells and whistles.

Nope… I could of used anything. In fact, I probably shouldn’t of use s00e00 cause who knows, in a few months there may actually be a special out. Should of did s00e100 or s01e100… …just in case, you know.

So basically you have to put them in as a TV Show but downloading the trailer and put s00e00 in the title to make it like it is part of an episode?

Example… [Title] S00 E00

And you can call the library UpcomingTV or similar and give access to that library to all you share with. They will see what you see and if notifications are enable they get notified of the upcoming series. You can even edit the plot summary to include when it will come out.

Oh my goodness, I have no clue how to edit the summary. But I guess it might be time to find out how to do that I guess…lol again thank you so much for all your help.
