Next Episode Freeze for about 5 Seconds

When using the play next episode function out of a still running playback of the previous one, the playback starts but the video freezes for about 5 seconds. Afterwards everything is fine again but of course its an annoying issue. Starting the same episodes from scratch does not cause this problem.
I face this issue on my Nvidia Shield (2019) Pro and on my Amazon FireTV Stick 4k.
Since I observe this since several months it also not looks like some very version specific issue.

It would be great to get some attention here by some Plex employee. Anyone that can take a look into this? I am glad to provide more info on this if needed.

I can confirm this issue which is present for over a year now (I think this problem has been reported before). For me it is about 5 seconds on Nvidia Shield and about 10 seonds on my Android Tablet. During these seconds the screen shows the frame of the 5 or 10 second mark, so basically the frame when the the playback starts working properly. The audio is playing from the beginning though.

I can “fix” the issue by quickly jumping back to the beginning of the episode.

I have not seen this issue on non Android devices at all.
