Video freezeframed ahead when starting playback, audio catches up

I’ve been encountering this issue for a few moths now on my Nvidia Shield. When starting playback from the beginning, the audio will play as normal, but the video will be freezeframed on a part 1-3 seconds into the movie/episode. It’ll play as normal once the audio catches up, but it’s annoying since I’m missing the first few seconds of visual information. Sorry if I didn’t describe it too well, I can provide a video of the issue if that would help someone. I know for a fact its not a specific file/codec, since it does it with everything.

This is a known issue on the Shield and they have been working on it for a while. I’ll link the post you can follow to keep up to date on it.
