I have a issue that started happening only on my Shield media players Plex client and my fire stick Plex client. The issue is not there with a pc or on the iPhone app. So in the past i was able to watch the first five minutes of a show and then stop watching and that show would go to the beginning of the continue watching section of the home screen. Now when i do this it does not go to the beginning of that list. The list stays unchanged, however if i go to the tv shows or movie tabs in the plex client the show that i just watched five minutes of will go to the beginning of continue watching of those tabs but go back to the home tab continue watching is unchanged. I dont understand this issue and its only happening on the shield media players and a fire stick so I’m guessing it’s Android related? This has worked correctly in the past doing it this way and i dont understand what might have made this start happening?
You will see the home screen continue watching is not the same as my PC`s or the Plex app but it used to match exactly a few weeks ago or so. The continue watching on both the TV and Movie tabs match perfectly to the shield and the PC. So the issue is only with the shield/fire stick home screen continue watching section. All the continue watching and sync options are turned on on both the server and the clients. And if i scroll thru the PC continue watching i can scroll to the right and eventually come to a spot where the continue watching list will finally match up but it dont show the 20-30 shows that are supposed to be before that. Its like the continue watching list on the shield just gets cut off at some point but the server is set to show 2000 continue watching shows. Any info or help would be appreciated Robert
I think I found where my settings went wrong and it’s in the last picture. Changing weeks to consider continue watching to no more than 52 and for me is the maximum number of items if I got over 90 things started going south. And it went crazy when I got to triple digits.
