No ability to zoom on Samsung 21:9 Displays

So my Plex Experience has been flawless so far, but one thing drives me absolutely nuts. I’m using a Samsung OLED G8 Monitor which is 21:9. In all regular streaming apps that you access through the monitors smart tv function (Tizen OS) there’s an ability to zoom into 21:9 content that would otherwise have black bars top and bottom. This feature is, very unfortunately, completely greyed out in the Plex App for Tizen (running the latest version). I assume supporting it wouldn’t be a big problem and a huge game changer for end users with WQHD Monitors.
Please fix this!

There’s already some existing suggestions to support zooming the picture so the actual video is utilizing the full screen estate, cropping any black bars / letterbox frames.
Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion, I’ll close this thread.

There’s a similar suggestion focusing on an option for Plex to provide a cropped output to fit the screen estate if the screen itself is zoomed.
