No connection thru PlexApp - but Portforwarding works perfectly?!

Hello everybody!

Since a few days I can’t reach my server neither through the Plex web app, nor through the Android app via the internet.
Since I have a DS-Lite connection, I set up a DynDns port forwarding and it worked fine for over a year.
According to the Plex server, I am fully available on the internet and port 32400 is also open.
Interestingly, I can reach the server directly via port 32400 and reach it via my DynDns access.
Where is the error?

Server Version#: 1.25.0.5246
Player Version#:4.66.1

Does the error also happen when you access over IPv6? If that works, then there’s something with the DynDNS relay that throws Plex off.

Thanks for the idea so far.
I’ll check this out and get back to you.
Hope that will do.

Cannot connect via IP6 due to the DSLite-connection and the portforwarding.
Apparently, PLEX only accepts “secure connections”, which is not possible with port forwarding.
I just wonder why Teamviewer & Co. can do this, but PLEX unfortunately cannot.

Hi there,
as requested have uploaded the actual Server Logs.

Plex Media Server Logs_2021-12-08_18-02-48.zip (4.0 MB)

looks like you have bad formatting in allowed networks pref. if just trying to allow a single IP just enter that one.

looks like your server computer’s local ip is 10.10.178.50. What is 10.10.178.47 ?

looks like it it failing DNS rebinding test. Can you change DNS?

Hi everybody!

Sometimes things get done by leaving it alone!

For no reason PLEX works since latest App-Update perfectly again.
So thanks for all your efforts!
