So let me get this straight: I’m a paying customer, but my tech support is limited to posting in forums and depending on members of the community to help? I’m having trouble finding a tech line, chat, etc. for paid experts… Am I missing something?

Absolutely not! That is the tech support model Plex has chosen.
Also a Plex Pass does not entitle you, or anyone else, to any tech support whatsoever. A Plex Pass serves to support Plex and access a few “special” features and for a while a few additional forums where you can be ignored by the best.
That is all Plex Pass does.
If you ask a question and include good details there is a pretty good chance that someone will try and help you. There is even a slight chance that a real Plex person will respond.
