No fanart, no control menu when playing music

Assume I am using the latest stable of everything:

When playing music on HTPC or out of the web browser fanart and a control menu toolbar is displayed (prev, play,pause, next etc).

There is no such display when playing music on Fire-TV or the android devices around our house. For example,

  • I select a music collection
  • I select SHUFFLE

The music plays, but the screen now only displays the background- no fanart, no menu or toolbar

Any ideas?

IIRC the music player on FireTV/Android TV will start playing in the background. You should see an icon of the currently playing album’s poster at the top-right of the UI. Clicking on that should bring up the full view for the playing music.

That would be the album cover thumbnail icon that appears at top of screen, correct?

It is absent on the Fire-TV and and two Android TV boxes.

all I am seeing when i initially hit ‘shuffle’ or play is the song & album titles and sometimes the artist name. and the gradient background, of course. No toolbar menu for the players controls. :frowning:
