Plex Media Server Logs_2018-10-06_09-37-36.zip (4.0 MB)

Hi all,

I’m new to this forum having recently bought a Sony tv which I’ve connected to my Synology ds918+. I’ve manually installed the 64 bit version of Plex, have a Plex pass and turned hardware acceleration on, but still I get messages that the server isn’t powerful enough. Subtitles continu but the video freezes. CPU is idle, RAM usages around 14%.
I’ve search the forum but can’t find a solution. Can anybody help me?
Server logs are attached.

Thanks!

Hi Trumpy,

Thank you for your quick reply! I’ve disabled subtitles (I normally use srt, indeed) and also selected a lower audio bitrate. That seems to help a bit.
The connection dropout you mentioned: I’ve experienced it before. I’ve contacted my isp to review the modem. Though they couldn’t find anything, I’ve done a factory reset. Hopefully, the connections won’t be dropped.

Thanks you for your help!

@trumpy81 A day later and everything works fine. The only problem is TrueHD audio and sometimes DTS 7.1 - DS918 doesn’t seem able to handle that, which results in a lot of buffering. AC3 works fine though.
