Overall I like the preview on Android. I noticed the detail screen for movies doesn’t show any info about the media itself like Resolution, Audio Streams, subtitles, etc.
Unless I missed them those would be helpful to add back in.

Yes I often want to check the technical aspects of a file and this is seemingly impossible in the new experience app.
Though to be honest I can’t find out how to do it in the old one either.
On the „classic“ iOS app, the info is available when clicking on the … button at the header/title section of the details page (File Info).
I suppose one aspect of the preview UI is to harmonize the layout across platforms as these tend to be quite inconsistent when it comes to features like this. Let’s hope they’ll still add some Info button to the new details pages (or a simple
icon).
That might fit quite neatly next to the watchlist / trailer / change-viewstate / download icons.
That being said… I’m already using Plex Dash most of the time if I want to check some technical details of a video I’m currently streaming.
It’s less about knowing resolution etc and more about being able to pick audio streams and subtitles before playing an item.
Definitely, being able to pick the audio and subtitle stream before playback should be made available.
Absolutely. Those will be in very, very soon. Both the file info + the audio/subtitles. There was never an intention to remove them from the experience long-term, they just didn’t make the cut off for the first preview release.
Honestly, I think this current look without them looks way cleaner. Will we have an option to disable them?
Great to hear that the info will be back. Will the basic details such as resolution, HDR/DV and audio information be visible on the episode/movie page and not hidden behind some menu or dialog? Being able to see that info at a glance is essential.
