I encounter a annoying bug with my Music section. I have only FLAC files in it. I take care to edit all tags correctly with EasyTag before adding them to my Music Library. Since recently I encounter a problem with few albums that are unrecognised by Plex (Unknown album/unknown artist). I tried to remove the albums from Library, make a deep scan, empty trash of Plex and then putting back the albums in Library but still the same.
Avoid non-ascii characters in file and folder names. If there is even one file with e.g. é í ü ß ô etc pp. in the folder with all the flac files, the Local Media Assets agent is unable to read the embedded metatags.
Such characters must also not appear in the folder names leading to the media files.
This is still a bug on some ’ Unixoid’ platforms.
You may also name your music files in a certain way to provide a ‘fallback’ option to plex, for the case the embedded metatags are not available.

I had thought already about that but it’s clearly not the issue (file path of an album that always appear as Unknown in Plex:
What about the list of files in that Disc 1 folder? Is there one file with such a character? It could be as small as ´
Do you mean the apostrophe or the accent ? Accent I checked and there is none for sure !
The accent could trigger the issue. There are several characters which look quite similar.
Only the very mundane apostrophe ' is un-critical.

Hum I guess it’s better to remove anything that looks like accent or apostrophe then Will make a test (when I’m back home in few weeks) and will let you know !

Oki so now that I’m back at home quiet I still have same exact problem. I have some albums where Plex doesn’t recognise any tags in the file Flac files all tagged with EasyTag so very confused and bored by that problem !
I moved from FreeNAS (FreeBSD) platform to Linux but still exact same problem Some ideas what to try to find the issue ?
