After looking through these forums, I noticed people are getting annoyed about the ’ aes decryption not supported in premium’ or something to that affect, and I believe it’s plex’s way of obtaining more money from us, to view various channels such as ‘South Park’ and various other channels too.
My older kids like to watch South Park, and up until plex people decided to remove channel support on the JWPlayer, which by the way, did work and South Park was watchable, up until they updated yet again.
I’m already paying a subscription for a plex pass, so why should I pay more for something that I am running on my own server, soooo, until that has changed or removed, I’ll be removing my plex pass account, and closing out plex.
It seems the more people that use a feature, the more likely that feature will be made unusable unless payment is made.
I also read that mac safari can play these channels, but I’m NOT going out to buy a mac just for that purpose.
Have you tried disabling Flash in your browser? If you’re using Chrome, go to chrome://plugins, disable Adobe Flash player plugin and then refresh the Plex tab and try again.
I tried everything from disabling HTML5, direct play and direct streaming within the plex player options, and still the same error, as I said earlier, it worked up until plex decided to do yet another update, and nothing has changed except the update.
I tested it with an older version and it works but only local access, which means the access from my plex account won’t work unless I update the server software, it’s catch 22, update the software and JWPlayer screws up, don’t update and get no access from the plex web access…
I don’t use Windows, but I checked the South Park channel and I only can’t see it using Firefox. I have no problems using the Media Player, Safari or the Apple TV. Can’t you see it using the Media Player on Windows? I have no problems using the Mac version.
