Despite refreshing the EPG multiple times, I have no scheduled recordings after 5/7. Any suggestions?
Which is to say, 5/6 is the last day I have recordings scheduled. From 5/7 on, there are no scheduled recordings…
There are allot of reports of guide data issues right now
Mine too! Nothing past the 7th… Not thrilled about it either…
@Havok115 Have you rebooted your computer? Another thread that a Plex Employee commented on requested that we reboot the PMS computer and refresh the EPG.
I did not, but as of this morning, the schedule has come back and I have 2 weeks of data.
Mine fixed itself.
I’ve had this same thing happen twice now in the last few days. Had a full set of “upcoming” recordings and now there are no more after tomorrow. I deleted the shows, added them back in - the initial “search” of shows show that there are 20 episodes in the future - but when I add it and go back to the recorded schedule, it’s still empty.
Alas - I rebooted the Linux server - not just the Plex Media Server - and it’s all showing up again. Grrrrr… Trying to sort out what doesn’t seem to be working and what is working.
I had to delete the EPG DBs in …\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Databases and force a refresh to fix mine, but it worked
Seems as those my HD channel mappings keep disappearing for my HDHomeRun Prime devices. Reboot didn’t fix it this time around. I deleted them and added them back in. Will see if that fixes anything for the short term.
Seem to have the same problem again. Hope it works itself out again like last time.
Deleted my EPG files, this seemed to work for me.
LOL…
In true plex fashion. This thread will prolly go un acknowledged
A couple of my posts that have either gotten ignored or closed by Plex employees.
One of them is this exact issue… another is related but closed.
There are several threads asking about this as well as aborted recordings that have gotten NO assistance from Plex.
I fear we are on our own.
Right @BigWheel ???
Oh
BTW I have had this problem off and on with DVR since way back in Beta.
What I uised to do was remove the DVR device then re-add it.
that would solve this issue.
After that a few times… the HDHR would not re-install any more, basically losing DVR. I had to do a whole bunch of gyrations just to re-install DVR again.
Sooo. I do not fix it that way any more.
I posted the issue and not a single response from plex but closing a related issue summarily.
Therefore I no longer recommend the delete-reinstall methiod any more and have gotten no clue from Plex.
I might suggest what @johnm_ColaSC suggested IS prolly the first best course of action and re-boot.
Plex does not seem to want to fix this issue.
(Along with HUNDREDS of others… LOL)
I restarted Plex this morning and it appears to have downloaded more EPG data (I was down to 7 days available). I haven’t been able to confirm whether or not anything is missing yet.
This is a feature of Plex DVR.
When my scheduled recordings when blank… I was sick and was not babysitting DVR (Which with this train wreck you need to. I don’t with any other DVR I have ever used)
So when I got well and went to watch my recorded content… NOTHING was recorded for over a week.
One of the features of Plex DVR is you gotta monitor it several times a day or you might be disappointed.
That’s good for me as I have nothing better to do than check if my DVR is working all day long… LOL
I mean Hell, if I gotta check DVR to be sure it’s working, I may as well just watch the show and forget the whole thing.

Thanks, that was a good laugh!
I did notice one thing these files were there before I deleted the EPG files:

After I re-downloaded the Guide, the files look like this:

Less files, and larger files as well, not sure if that means anything.
This is still happening to me, I am in the process of deleting the files and redownloading them, this seems to fix it, but I was wondering if a more permanent fix would be in place anytime soon.
