Having this issue too! Went to watch monday’s recordings, and all of them were not showing ( at least 6 of them). I just tried adding a new scheduled recording that starts in the next 30min, todays do not appear, but the following days recordings do appear. Will send debug when it is suppose to start.
@shermanh4, glad someone responded…I have an update to my findings. plex wouldn’t let me post 3 consecutive times until someone else did.
It looks like todays scheduled recordings reappeared. although I’m not sure what changed. Initially I restarted Plex over an hour ago, then it did a scan of the tvguide…I then did an on demand record and that appeared to keep, but scheduled recordings didn’t show. I did another tvguide scan and the scheduled recordings started to appear. Hopefully that will be the end of it. But I’ve attached the logs for the current time period if there is some interest.Plex Media Server Logs_2019-02-26_13-30-16.zip (2.4 MB)
When you upgraded from 1.14 to 1.15.1, did you rebuild your container? You might have to detail your config a little bit, it is picking up 1x 192.x and 3x 172.x networks. Plex was picking up network changes while it was running. Do a search on “more than 6 plugins”.
Plex will have to run your logs through their log reader to get any more info.
As of this morning, the EPG is no longer downloading. Relevant log section:

I bold-faced the token. Looks odd to me. Perhaps the logs obfuscate that automatically … or that series of x’s could be a problem. (I obfuscated my username and IP address.)
I found an alternative EPG service and PLEX appears to support XML guide stored locally on your server. I’d be willing to pay extra for a reliable EPG service. What PLEX has integrated is jacked. It is unreliable.
I signed up for a trial at https://www.xmltvlistings.com/. It generated a file that I pulled into PLEX. I populated a full two weeks of schedule. Unfortunately, all the listings identified at movies not TV shows. I will need to investigate further.
The other thing to figure out is how to automate the downloads from that service to the directory on the server. That does not appear to be a very refined process.
I’ve had to delete the EPG files, remove the DVR, restart the PMS, create a new DVR, download everything again and then go through each event and click SAVE to re-enable the events.
Seems to work so far but really would be nice to have some kind of response or explanation of why this isn’t working.
I did that this morning as well. Restarted the server too (OSX).
After deleting the DVR, Plex prompted me for my zip for the EPG. Plex would not accept the information, failing to resolve the zip code. So, unable to re-add the HDHomeRun tuner (DVR) except by using the manual XML download alternative.
I am working toward moving away from Gracenotes. If I hit a wall with an XML service, I will go back to the Plex provided system. FWIW, deleting the DVR and rescanning let to an error contacting the provider.
I deleted my EPG files and refreshed, and it now shows everything it’s supposed to record, but it only actually records new episodes, no reruns. Weird. I’ll try dschaper’s more thorough suggestion next.
