No release year required for music folders?

I have recently gotten into using Plex for my music collection. Have been following this article for naming convention:

I’ve come from using Plex only for TV shows and movies where release year is always required in naming.

Is there a reason release year is omitted for music? Do you still add release year to your music folders?

In my experience it’s not needed and not used to improve the album matching. Most release titles are only used 1x per artist anyway
