The current FireTV Stick version of the app does not enter a screen saver when left on the end screen when it has completed playing.
This is a problem because I have a user that likes to fall asleep while it’s playing. When the playlist/season/show is over, it just holds that screen open. I would expect it to enter a screensaver mode (as that is what my Roku does on the same screen.
The same thing happens with the Shield TV ( tube ) screensaver never kick in after watching a TV show. It works fine with movies and other places but NOT after a tv show

I’m also having this problem now on my fire tv cube. When I woke up, my fire tv wasn’t sleeping.
It looks like the plex app was updated. I now see the cast/actors (thanks very much). Also, when I click on an episode (from On Deck), I now see a different screen:
Instead of the usual single episode info, Plex was displaying all the episodes in that season. The first unwatched episode is highlighted.
Please fix this quickly so the image doesn’t get burned into the tv screen.
Same issue here on both fire stick and cube. When finishing a movie it now goes to a new “just played” screen that does not fire the screen saver. Terrible for those that fall asleep. Please fix or give us the option to revert back to a previous release!
This is a problem on all my android devices. It was fixed a while ago but it has returned. My Fire will not turn off the screen after I fall asleep watching a show, nor will my Shield engage the screen saver at the end of the show… My server will show the device as still playing the episode that I just watched. This has been a constant issue. Updating does nothing. Reinstalling does nothing…
