Hi i’m using a ps4, always used the PS4 secured connection on required and it worked fine.
I recently decided to move my old ps3 to my living room for my parents to log into the plex app from there but the problem is that it says “the serve required secure connection although they are unsupported by THIS device”
Why isn’t the ps3 supports secured connections? i’m afraid to turn it to “Prefered” just to enable it in the cost of someone hacking me. i checked it with “prefered” and it works fine but again i want it on “required” to be sure 100% that i’m safe from hacking.
Also i dont know if it matters to the topic but i have my remote access OFF
would like to get some answers before risking anything

The ps3 device cant handle them.
Preferred does leave you open to dodgyness so your call.

What exacty is hackable? the server itself? does it mean just the server contact or through my server contact into my own computer? is it still hackable if i have the remote access off? i’m just using it localy, in my home not sharing.
I’m trying to get the clear picture

also Is there a way to keep it on “Required” but somehow list one device who allowed in despite the restriction?
