Since upgrading to High Sierra (recently), any web client reports that the Plex server “does not allow secure connections.” With an option to Allow once or always allow. I checked the settings under Settings–>Network–>Secure Connections which shows “Preferred” (and has never been set otherwise).
When I look at the server, the icon next to the server name has a green padlock, which should mean it is secured, but why would a web client (either Chrome or Safari that previously did not report this lack of a secure connection now start to do so?
I had been opening those browser sessions on a different computer than the one running the server (a Mac Mini). I had been using that url to connect with the server. I quit the Plex server (The server had already been restarted when the Mac was upgraded to High Sierra) and restarted the server again and now the browser sessions on a different machine do show the secure padlock.
Thanks for your quick response.
