No settings for the new Plex Movie agent

Hi,

I don’t have access to any settings of the new Plex Movie agent. Clicking on the gear icon just opens an empty window with Cancel/Save buttons. I assume this is not the expected behavior: how can I fix it?

The agent preferences are in the properties of the library, on the “Advanced” tab.

Same here. Library “Advanced” tab is greyed out as well.

Also when taking another route to get to the libraries settings (Settings -> Manage -> Libraries as opposed to clicking … -> Manage Library -> Edit), I cannot change the agent’s settings. In my case I want to make sure new movies are automatically added to collections (which is not happening at the moment).

Thanks for the quick reply, I was using the server web app. I can see the Library “Advanced” tab is not greyed out on the hosted web app. Its getting a bit weird as going back to the server web app the “Advanced” tab wasn’t greyed out anymore.

Whats the difference between the 2 apps? As I noticed some differences with the agents for example.

All this still didn’t let me achieve my main goal of automatic collections although I did apply the setting “Use collection info from the The Movie Database”.

Did you convert the library with “Upgrade Matching” or did you manually change the scanner and agent?
After doing so, did you refresh metadata?

If there is already an existing collection by the same name, it won’t be overwritten with the automatic one.

If you erased the old collections, you also need to unlock the field ‘Collection’ in the properties of your movies which previously were inside these collections.
You can do that with several (or even all) movies at once, by selecting them in the library view and then editing them together. The orange “padlock” icon needs to be disengaged.

No, I found it. I also had to change Minimum automatic collection size from “Disabled” to “1” on the library’s advanced settings. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
