No Soup for you

Server Version#:4.5.3.1652
Player Version#:4.47.3

I got an email that someone from India had logged into my Plex. I decided to change the password and selected to log out of everything. I have also deleted the server off of authorized users. I can no longer view my server. I keep getting No soup for you. I do not know where to find the preferences file to delete what I have seen suggested. I have no clue how to get this working again. I have looked and read everything that I could and nothing seems to be specific to my issue or it may not make much sense to me.

Any help will be appreaciated

Thank you

After your server got signed out, you need to link it back to your account. To do that you need to access it “locally” through the bundled version of Plex Web:

  1. open http://[QNAP IP address]:32400/web (if you’re in the same network as your QNAP)
  2. navigate to Settings > [Server Name] > General
  3. sign-in

Once you have re-linked your server you will also be able to access your server from other clients (incl. the hosted version of Plex Web (http://app.plex.tv/desktop).

So I did this and it sent me straight to no soup for you. I was signed in and I went to settings but there was not option for “Server name”

As for the preferences.xml to force your server to forget the previous claim information:

https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

From https://support.plex.tv/articles/202915258-where-is-the-plex-media-server-data-directory-located/

QNAP

The exact data directory location can vary from system to system. To access it, connect to the Console of QNAP via SSH and then enter:

getcfg -f /etc/config/qpkg.conf PlexMediaServer Install_path

From the result given to you, then add /Library/Plex Media Server to the end of it. You might end up with a path like the following ( this is just an example !):

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/PlexMediaServer/Library/Plex media Server
