NO thumbnails are shown in any view in Library type Photos

NO thumbnails are shown in any view in Library type Photos (any newly created Library type Photos). When I click to see the full size of the image, the image is displayed, but anywhere any thumbnails are NOT shown. Just black square.

This doesn’t work in Plex plugin 1.8.4 in FreeNAS
I have tried a fresh install of Plex plugin 1.8.4 in FreeNAS. (NO thumbnails are shown)
I also did a fresh install on FreeBSD Plex version 1.9.2. (NO thumbnails are shown)

What else can I try?

Same issue on my Plexserver. I subscribed plexpass to get photo upload functionality, but this is really worse.
Running on Ubuntu 16.4 with latest Plex 1.9.5, Pics are Uploaded but no Tumbnail/Preview on the Libraries.

Any Idea?
