'No write access to destination' with 1 of 2 media locations

I’m running into an issue. Here’s my current setup:

  • The server is running on my NVIDIA Shield TV Pro.
  • I have movies on an external hard drive connected to my Synology RT2600ac router which Plex can record to without an issue.
  • I have TV shows on an external hard drive connected to my Synology DS415+ which Plex cannot record to, but can view them.

Nothing I’ve done so far has been able to fix the ‘No write access to destination’ error I’m receiving.

  • I tried to enable SSH even though the router doesn’t have that enabled and is able to be written to, but would like to avoid leaving SSH open.
  • Both the router and NAS have a Plex user (the router has a capital P, but the NAS has a lowercase. Not sure if that’s causing an issue).
  • The ‘Plex’ user has read/write permissions for the external volume on the router for movies.
  • The ‘plex’ user has read/write permissions for the external volume on the NAS for TV shows.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
