Until recently everything worked perfectly. Mapped drives to a Qnap 233 NAS with a desktoip pc with 12gb and a decent enough processor and nothing else running on it. Now eitehr files do not play or they are very laggy. The disk are fine in the NAS, in fact one upgraded since but with no change. I have reinstalled Plex server, remapped the drives but the issue remains.
The mapping is slow in windows explorer, much slower than if theer is a direct IP but Plex will not mapp an IP only a mapped dcrive. So it may be the windows pc that is the issue but if so I have no idea how to resolve that. Plex see all metdata etc - its just the playing part that is the issue!
