Nord VPN & Dynamic DNS

I’ve been looking into accessing plex server remotely through nord vpn and came across several people who said I could just use a dynamic dns service so I’ve got that all setup but have hit a snag. Hoping someone can help me out in case I am missing something. Here is what I’ve done so far.

Setup static ip for my server in my router
forwarded port 32400 to that server
remote access is working
Once nord vpn is turned on, remote access is lost.

I created an account on dynu.com and got a dynamic dns domain.
I then installed the dynu ip updater program to my server which checks and updates my ip to my domain
I forwarded the port to 32400 on dynu.com
I added the http and https version of the dynu hostname I got into plex settings under “Custom server access URLs”
Still cannot access plex while vpn is on.

What am I missing? I did the port check on dynu.,com website and it did fail. I am guessing the port forwarding of this domain is not functioning properly and that’s why I can’t access plex. Is anyone familiar with this that can help me identify why the port forwarding on dynu.com is not working?

You would need to port forward in the VPN but Nord does not offer that. Do you offer port forwarding? | NordVPN Support

is there going to be a fix that doesnt require us making changes? because i cant get it to work either way so i have to switch to alternatives.

you can’t use Nord with Plex because they not allow port forwarding. nothing we do can change that.
