I apologize in advance for being a big dummy when it comes to such things. I have been trying (and failing) to make my Plex server remote accessible with a static IP (through NordVPN), I fear the problem might lie with my cable modem, an Arris SB6190, which does not seem amenable to port forwarding. But I wanted to check in with all the super smarties here before I give up in despair. Any suggestions wildly appreciated.

The only simple solution is split tunneling, I believe Nord solution is only Browser adons which won’t work for PLEX. I have been using PIA VPN which have a app exclusion feature which means I have excluded PLEX from the tunnel. All other traffic goes through the tunnel. Due to Plex being an app that must phone home to authenticate and use Scrappers /Agents for Metadata etc.
PIA is very competitive and the MacOS app is very simple and actively evolving with regular updates.
