I posted this on an earlier thread and marked it answered, but my daughter pointed out it’s not. Actually the old MacGyver is being recorded on a different channel. When I limit the recording to CBS it won’t record it, even though I can see it in the guide (admitted messed up with old ones, not great). When I click on a specific show to record rather than the series, it just ignores it and doesn’t record it or add it. No conflicts, just a bug. The text below is still accurate. According to HDHomerun a new episode will air tonight at 8:00 and it plans to record it, nothing on Plex.

I’m on the latest version of Plex and trying to get it working as I’m a little bummed with HDHomeRun DVR. In general I’m pleased and like the changes although there are a few things I’d like changed (for another thread). My problem is that there is at least one show that’s not showing up that HDHomeRun has set up to record. There might be others but this one I know specifically.
Show: MacGyver (New show) has two shows coming up. Both the CBS website and HDHomeRun show it as scheduled and to be recorded (on HDHomerun). My Plex guide doesn’t show it if I search or go to the channel in the program guide. I’m on the latest Version 1.5.1.3520 and updated the EPG guide just minutes ago (Don’t know where to look at the completion).
Thoughts?
OK, sorry I’ve been away a while and given up on Plex DVR. I did try the suggestion above but no luck. Actually, I just did a clean install of Windows 10 and Plex on top of that, and now it doesn’t see the program at all on the guide. Good thing I moved back to HDHomerun service or my family would be upset. Any thoughts? I’d rather use plex all up, but currently there are just too many issues.
Also, I should note as something of an ask, we should add something around language to the recording series options. Plenty of times it will end up with Spanish recordings on an otherwise normal channel (like Monday night football tonight, try it and you’ll get two, on on ESPN, and another on ESPN2. The second is Spanish.)

If you don’t want Spanish recordings you can go into DVR and uncheck Spanish only channels (I do this).
Typically I’ve found that if I get a Spanish audio on a recording there is a 2nd English audio track as well (on non dedicated Spanish channels). Have you checked to see if the DVRed show has more than one audio channel?
It’s ESPN2, so not a Spanish channel. They broadcast Monday night football on both channels, but typically college football is on ESPN2 in English. So I don’t really want to disable that channel. Not sure about a second channel, but it was recorded in English anyway, just on ESPN.
Sorry, I replied before I looked at my plex again for recordings. The initial issue of not seeing the series seems to have been resolved. Not sure if that’s because I did a clean install or there was an update, but yay!
On the language honestly I’m not sure it’s solved anywhere and really not that difficult to sort out that it’s a different language. Just thinking it should record only one show and know that it’s the same show in the series. It would have been a bummer to only record one and have it be Spanish. So better two than one, but it’s a lot of space.
