The Plex for Windows 10 Beta app seems not to be available in the store for Windows 10 Mobile. In the store of my Windows 10 destop device it’s working.
I’m using a Lumia 950 XL with Windows Mobile version 1511 (10.0.14342.1004).

Same problem here.

It’s a private beta. I can’t find it on the desktop either. Try opening the link in the email on the phone. (May need to be logged in?)
Same here, tried switching my phone to english, thinking it was only available on the US store but it still shows as not available for my phone.
Works on win10 on, my pc though.

The beta is only for the desktop version, the mobile version is not yet available.
Ok, I thought the label UWP app would mean it is working on both platforms.

Well, that is the definition of UWP…
What’s interesting is that the store lists ARM processor support. Do all UWP apps that are tablet/desktop-only say that? There are no ARM Windows 10 Tablets, right? All the original Surface RTs never got brought up to 10. It’s still rumored that ARM support might come to 10.

I don’t think the mobile side of it has been implemented yet that’s why we can’t download it yet on are phones they will open the gates for the mobile side of the uwp app soon.
I was a bit disappointed to see it wasn’t available for phones…

It’s mainly for Windows 10 Mobile (phones), but could apply to Windows 10 IoT (Raspberry Pi) as well

Yes, but not necessarily. Universal apps mean it can operate in that atmosphere and on all devices if they only use the Universal SDK. A developer like Plex can make use of extension SDKs which add features. However, it limits the devices targeted. Those of us that have used .Net for desktop and embedded (compact) environments know this struggle. For size constraints, Microsoft choses a subset of desktop .Net Framework to be supported in the .Net Compact Framework. Therefore, if you developed a .Net desktop app, porting it to .Net Compact will likely throw meant errors. You’ll get warnings about unknown API functions, variables, etc. You’ll either have to recreate them yourself, remove the feature, or abandon the port.
For Universal Apps, it sounds like Microsoft is coming at this from a different angle. They’re making one base SDK and allowing developers to extend. They likely warn about device target limitations.
So, as for our Plex beta app, we have a fee possible scenarios:
They need a specific API that’s only available on an extension
They only want to test on desktop/tablets
They didn’t build/test the user interface for mobile
They pressed the wrong button when submitting to the store :D.
All the people who replied earlier weren’t flared as employees or Plex devs, so I’m just speculating here. Feel free to correct some of these facts or add suggestions.

Edit: I went back to double check user categories. Is Plex ninja for employees or helpful community members?

I agree, but I don’t think IoT supports the store.
But that’s the conundrum. It’s not available for download on phone but there is ARM support. I’m hoping this is teasing a full version of Windows 10 thats runs on ARM. I want a Surface 4 RT!
As for IoT, I’m sure a precompiled APPx package might be deployable on it if the built OS has all the features it needs.
@peterfnet The mobile version I’m sure is coming, with UWP they share a common core. They have the UI for the desktop/tablet in a state in which they feel that it can be tested by beta users, but that is likely not the case with the mobile UI yet. I would be that when the proper UI is ready it will be released for testing as well. This was just a way to get it out so that users can begin testing the app and make sure they can start squashing bugs in the core that will be shared between the different UI’s.
I’m struggling to get this running on my Sega Genesis.

You need either the 32X or the Sega CD add-ons, then it should fire right up.

Ah, I knew it was something simple. Thanks!
