I have a few shows that I have pulled the metadata for in DVD Order. However, today I noticed that all the shows that I have selected “DVD Order” for are missing the metadata for the director(s). All of the writers appear to be pulled successfully but every director field is blank for all shows with DVD Order selected. This data is present for shows pulling metadata in Aired Order. I have check on the TVDB under the DVD order and the data for the directors is there.
Is this happening for anyone else? Seems like a weird issue to only be happening to me.
I reported this problem a long long time ago and like many things with plex its not been fixed and appears that plex themselves have no intention of fixing it. Very frustrating …
I can confirm the issue. However, I doubt the old agent will see any bugfixes at this time.
A new metadata agent for tv shows is in development right now.
(Similarly to the new Plex Movie agent, it will run natively in C and therefore be much, much faster than the old Python-based agent.)
