Not sure why I am not seeing Plex News yet

Either I am not enabled yet or a setting is not set somewhere because I don’t have the News item yet in my categories. I am a Plex Pass user also and I don’t have a Plex Server update, it says I am up to date. Looking at the FAQ it seems I should have it already, but I don’t:

“During the initial launch, we’re doing a rollout of the feature. Plex Pass users received access with the launch itself and we’ll be adding all other Plex users over the next ~48 hours. All users will have access by Friday, September 29 (Pacific Time).”

Not sure why I am not seeing it and if something I need to enable. Thank you.

You are Plex Pass so would have been enabled on the first day. It doesn’t matter about server, News is independent of that. Which supported app are you using? have you tried restarting or signing out/in of that app?

Can somone tell me how and where I am supposed to see the new News feature in either the server or Plex Media Player (windows app)? I have updated the programs, restarted and see nothing. It’s pretty anti-climactic. Where is this supposed to appear?

It is not available in PMP or the Web app yet. It is only on Roku, Android, Android TV, iOS, Apple TV so far ( I do not have an ETA on when it will come to other apps.) https://support.plex.tv/hc/en-us/articles/115002188273

No News option here either. Windows 7 with latest server and Player client.

Plex pass user here not showing up on Roku or anywhere else for that matter.

im also a plex pass user.

i have an apple tv, a htpc (windows), iphone and plex web. not showing on any of those…

I don’t news feature on iOS app which is latest version and so are my 2 servers. I’m not home, so I can’t check Roku or Apple TV but I suspect it’s not there either.

Edit: I tried signing in/out of iOS app to no avail

Not showing up either on my Amazon Fire TV or Amazon Fire HD8 tablet.

Just updated my Roku to the new version just released, and I don’t see any kind of News feature in it anywhere? Where is it supposed to show up?

I see it on my phone (Android) but there’s no content showing…all blank.

In all supported apps it will be in the library list. Make sure your app is updated to latest. Some users have reported needing to restart app or device.

I thought I was going to see it on my server but finally found it on my Fire TV.
It’s located on the library and I am glad I found it

Seems its only for the main account which makes it worthless for me. I dont use my main account on devices other than my phone because of my kids. When are you guys gonna start letting managed users get in on the fun?

managed users will not be able to use it until we have a mechanism to remove news completely from accounts which choose to remove it. Managed user accounts are generally used for children’s accounts and many folks do not want their young children watching news because of possible subject matter.

I had to do a full reboot of my AppleTV for it to see the plex update and then the News function showed up.
