I have updated my Plex Media Server to the latest version, and my Plex Media Player to the latest version. However I do not see the option for News anywhere. The FAQ on the website seems to say it will just appear on the list of options, but I do not see it. How do I enable the News feature?
It is not tied to Plex Media Server. It is not supported in Plex Media Server Player yet. Please read the Info and FAQ linked at the top of this forum section

Could you clarify a bit on the “yet” part? I thought NEWS was not part of the server at all or ever?
I would be really disappointed if it were to reach PMS as well next to the mobile clients it’s on now. I would prefer stuff like this to be entirely optional (and opt-in at that) and please do not force it upon me (it messes with my mojo in using the App and besides is useless outside the USA anyway … plus i NEVER watch anything that is filled with ads).

sorry that was a typo, meant not supported on Plex Media Player yet.
Another completely overhyped Plex feature… failure. News is not available on PMS (WTF??) and on iOS News plays only on the iOS device and not when connected to remote players such as the Chromecast (??) It makes you wonder if Plex properly understand the market for their own products.
