Today i wanted to share some of my libraries with a friend of mine and found out that now i need to have Plex Pass to use Plex Home. Do i understand it correctly that now i have to pay to be able to share libraries?

The Plex Home feature requires an active Plex Pass subscription for the Home administrator Plex account. Use sharing instead:
Plex Home is not required for Sharing. They are separate features.
Plex Home isn’t sharing. Its creating users on your server.
Sharing is when you share the content of your Plex with people who are NOT users on your server. Your friends have to have their own Plex account (they don’t need to install the server, just create an account on the Plex site) and then you go into the Sharing configuration of your Plex server, add their Plex account and decide which libraries you want to give them access to.
Thanks! I understand how the sharing works but i couldn’t find the sharing option in the menu and therefor thought the option was removed… found out the menu was scrolled down to the bottom but it didn’t look that way.
Feeling a bit of an idiot right now but happy everything still works the same
