"Now Playing" dashboard keeps showing closed instances as "stopped"

I host my server on my Nvidia Shield with two HDDs running 24/7 through USB and so far it has been going great, but recently the “now playing” dashboard has been glitching out.
It keeps track of playback correctly, until the moment I close down the playback. It will first disapear from the dashboard like usual, but will then pop up again and be indicated as “stopped” and will stay like this untill I reboot the server/shield.

This happens regardless of the device used for playback and will accumulate over time

Is there any fix to this ? It makes it hard to monitor what is currently being played or not.
